Had a Christmas luncheon today

Every year I have a dinner for my team and a few special friends.  It is very nice, but exspensive too.  This year I decided to have a luncheon instead.  It was fabulous.  I actually think it was less stressful then a dinner- for everyone.  My client care manager has 2 children, and I always invite the family.  Having it at lunch allowed for the children to be more involved and not rushed to hit bedtimes.  Plus it let everyone out of work for a few hours.  I had it at Carrabbas-they allow you to have a private luncheon-opened just for us- no extra cost involved.  What a concept!  We had a separate childrens table which included my teenage daughter and a friend to help the younger children make gingerbread houses.  That allowed the Mom to relax.  The big kicker-I saved hundreds doing it at lunch and it was just as terrific, if not more so then having it in the evening.
