Can't think of anything to write? Be a fly on the wall

I constantly look for things to inspire me.  I feel like a sponge I want to absorb all that is around me.  Many times there is more information than I can take in however occasionally I end up with writers block. Try as I might I can't focus on anything to write.

B.T. (Before Twitter) I would come here to Active Rain and look for inspiration.  I would read for hours sometimes all day. Usually it would work.  I'd come here early in the morning and it certainly has been a great place to start the day.The Good Cheerry

I also love sitting in my favorite coffee shop seeing the people and sometimes over hearing a conversation.  One coffee shop that really encourages this type of atmosphere is the local Good Cherry in Forest Virginia.  Really cool place, if you are in the area stop by, you may find me there.

Then I discovered Twitter.

With Twitter I can be a virtual fly on the wall and "listen in" on conversations of those that I follow.  Kinda like sitting on The Good Cherry coffee shop with a notebook and writing down interesting snippets of conversation.  (Don't tell me you never had done this - if you haven't you should try it!)

The people I follow also have great blogs and tweet interesting links that interest them.  Reading their blogs and links also inspires me.  Reading usually helps give me ideas to write about myself.

The links shared by my followers gives me a further insight to their psyche.  If you are a people person you will heart twitter.

So next time you are craving some inspiration be open minded and follow me at @brokersaunders. I'll try to provide some fun and entertainment and hopefully some inspiration.

Norma you are certainly welcome.  There is never a lack of things to inspire me just a matter of engaging my brain!

Yes I end up being really boring or writing something real estate related just to post something fresh. I need more inspiration!

I've started following people on Twitter and it is very interesting.  Matter of fact, I'm following you now!  I'm still playing there and I'm sure I haven't fully taken advantage of all it has to offer.

Interesting post. I take my camera everywhere and try to snap pictures that would be topics to write about.

Although I've signed up on Twitter, I prefer Facebook.  All the wall-to-wall musings and status updates give me the same kind of idea pool.

There were times when I could not think of anything to write.  I sat and stared at the computer then something would hit my brain and then my first sentence came in and then I was okay.  I guess our brain sometimes needs rest.

Did you write this for me? :)  I have had the biggest blogger's block lately, but Twitter doesn't help!  I could spend hours there and never accomplish anything that even looks like a post of my own.

Terrific advice. I find I comment much more than I write here on AR. I recently discovered Twitter as well and love it and I do find so much information and stuff about other people. It is like being a fly on the wall. You should post your twitter link here.....

Hmmm a fly on the wall sometimes learns more than they need to know :) OK...here you go, when you sign onto Twitter take the first 5 Tweets, and copy the verbiage and write a Post with it....that'll entertain both you and Lisa for awhile :)

Is this the coffeeshop you and John go to?  Where's the plants LOL :)

I have had writer's block so bad lately.  Hasn't helped that I have been trying to get all of my holiday stuff done too.  Now that the biggest part of the holidays are over, I am trying to hunker downa and get back into a groove.  I have topics to write about but need to get them on my blog.

Laura Thanks for following me I am looking forward to getting to know you better!

Ellie I take my camera everywhere also.  Turns even a trip around the block into an adventure.

Lorrie well I guess Twitter is not for everyone but I sure have seen a huge difference in my bottom line as twitter works WITH face book

Rosalinda everyone is different when it comes to writers block.  I need to search for inspiration if I sit at the computer I could sit there for a long time.

Lisa there are a couple different ways to get out of writers block.  Sometimes it helps to take  break or sometimes reading other blogs helps.

Terrie yes maam I did post my twitter connection within the post :-)

Konnie I did not twitter much today as I was visiting with friends and took some pictures, looking for interesting things to blog about too.

Kathy being a fly on the way to learn SO much!  Yes the coffee shop picture is a picture of the inside of The Good Cherry coffee shop where I spend A Lot of time.

Audrey I know when I am stressed I get writers block.  Unfortunately that is usually more often than not after all I do sell real estate.  But I too are looking forward to "honker down".

Good morning Nanette, Like you I take my cameras everywhere. I now take my video along with my SLR. And, I do agree with you, with twitter running constantly chirping in the background, I can eaves drop on a lot of online chatter...

Happy New Year
