These pelicans and ducks were just hanging around under the Eau Gallie Causeway here in Melbourne Florida. There were lined up like little tin soldiers, one after another, after another, some basking in the sun and some catching a bit of shade, just enjoying the beautiful winter day. It was time for their afternoon siesta.

And, after that they would be ready to start looking for their next meal.

It was truly a sight to see as there were a couple hundred of them!

Hi Gary, Pelicans are absolutely mesmerizing to watch. Although these guys were definitely taking a bit of snooze on this perfect day. Well, gosh, you being from Titusville, I bet these pictures made you a little bit homesick. So glad you enjoyed them!

Hi Mary, It's funny, because we don't usually catch so many all at once. It was truly a very lazy day - no fishing at this particular moment, but when they get started, they catch exactly what they want! They're smart!

Hey Justin, Apparantly we were there at nap time, because none of them were doing much of anything. But, I'm certain you're exactly right, because the fishing is really good in that area, and the feast was coming next. I hope that you're well!
