Just in the nick of time, as the winter winds approached, it is said,

a passing REALTOR® , always keeping a "good-eye" out for interesting things, as well as for clients, noticed the wee canoe  all alone out there.

The lake was beginning to freeze. (see below)  Time was of the essence. And being attuned to such things-- after all that is just a "given" when it comes  to the practice of real estate. she made a thoughtful choice.

  asheville lake in winter BEAUTIFUL

The Choice? Hang out with your friends!  Now the wee Lonesome Canoe is at home on the shore happily nested with its friends- as we hope Y'All will be in 2009...

It just looks to cold to be out there. I think I am ready for spring. I use to like the cold, but I believe I am done with it.

Thanks ...I love the chance to be out in nature where, so often, the "best" shots are found. Today the snow is gone and we are hoping for blue skies and expecting flurries. The weather changes frequently in the mountains as you know...but the mountains remain the sentinels despite the change...I guess LIFE is like that...and Love...

I'm told that time of year for reflection...and the glimmers on the lake do remind me of that... but I am thinking this morning that even as the snow and ice disappear, the reflections will remain ..always ..and available to prompt promising perspectives....

It is funny...today the Lake is throbbing with ripples...while not 20 minutes from Asheville...up in the higher elevations to the north, blizzard warnings may be  on the way...changes..always ...expected...

janeAnne, our daughter went to camp at Crestridge just outside Asheville and I had a friend from college who had a summer home there. It is truly gorgeous country. Beautiful photos!

TOTALLY! That is one of the points I was trying to make...and that feeling of being connected and enfolded with the others (Even during difficult days) is something that seems to help us all survive and thrive, eh?
