It is funny you mention this Gena. My fridge has a small leak in the water line and I have a rag unter the darn thing. I know I need to get it fixed and stop procrastinanting!
Gena, Great info. I sometimes wonder when that's going to happen me with my washer. Maybe it's time to stop wondering and check into this inexpensive product.
GENA, Very good advice and an inexpensive fix!!
Gena,
Good idea, I wasn't aware of these, thank you for sharing.
Johnathan
Hi Gena, this is my kind of post. Not only informative but solves a problem before it becomes a nightmare and a fortune to resolve.
Now what to do with it. I guess I should get your permission and re-post this blog on my own blog with a link back to your post and hopefully others will ask and do the same. But the real solution for all us to is to be informed like you are on this issue and remind each of our friends and clients to be aware and make the voluntary transition now before it becomes a major repair item.
What's that old saying, "pay me a little now or a whole lot later - your choice".
A wonderful post and just for the number of potential dollars and grief you can save people-this should be in the Hall of Features, Oh that's an idea I haven't yet shared with the powers that be or anyone else as yet. Hall of Features are featured posts that are so exemplary that they become an education all on their own and remain in the Hall for perpetuity . This is a good example of what I mean by that.
Bill, this can certain help you avoid that in the future. Isn't that just the way it is...sort of like the cobbler whose children have no shoes!
Barb, yes better to be safe than sorry. When I had a new side-by-side refrig installed in one of my rentals, I got this line so that it wouldn't be an issue down the line. It's just a little bit more than the regular kit but down the line, it will save you a ton of money.
Marchel, definitely!
Jonathan, I wasn't either until recently. I got mine at Home Depot.
William, thank you. I was hoping that it would not only help many of the AR members but also for you to help your clients. You absolutely have permission to reblog. It would be an honor.
That's a great idea... and it's true... there's nothing like water damage to create a costly fix-up.
Great post and so very on the money. I have seen lots of damage caused by frigs.
Terry
Thanks for making me aware of this simple fix to what could be an expensive problem.
