Flat Matt gets the Royal Treatment at YALE!

Yesterday my soon to be daughter-in-law commented on Flat Matt's arrival in Connecticut and that led to our afternoon adventure.  Nadya recently finished her research at Yale and is in the process of writing her thesis, thought she might be able to pull some strings.   It Worked....

Here is the front entrance to the Peabody Museum - Matt slow down, we are not going in there.  Nadya contacted Tom Hegna and he generously offered a private tour, lets go to the back door.

Flat Matt was so excited he arrived a little early for our 3:30 appointment.   Jessica Bazeley greeted us and began showing us around. This Giant Trilobite ( Isotelus Maximus ) is one of Jessica's favorites.  She likes the big ones and suggested Matt ride the Sea Scorpion.

Once Tom arrived Flat Matt got to explore a little more. His eyes light up as the cabinet opens and he sees all the draws. He gets excited and wants to sleep with them... Whatever gets your rocks off Flat Matt!  Next he decided to just watch, Are they Morphing or Mating?

Continuing on his journey Flat Matt runs into some old friends from his Utah Exploration.  Tom realizes Flat Matt is a leg man so he pulls out a piece Matt would surely love.  Take a close look and you can see the details. Flat Matt enjoyed his special behind the scenes look at the Trilobite collection at Yale.  The up close an personal tour is much nicer than the standard exhibit.

As an added bonus for the REAL MATT.... if you find your way to the East Coast contact Thomas and he would welcome the opportunity to talk Termites... I mean Trilobites and show you around.  I'm sure he'll remember you, it is not every day a guy named Flat Matt and his entourage strolls into town.

Here is a quick recap... My First Real Estate Show!

I've been secretly lurking since last night (telling Brian, I was just casually checking my email) hoping you would update, and here they are!
Flat Matt looks ecstatic!
After all the torture Yale has put me through, something interesting and fun came off it! Surely, commencement next year should be exciting, but not nearly as cool as trilobites.

We stayed in, we are getting old and Brian needed to get up early to go to work. Sad, I know.
I think we are meeting Dan tonight for Cinco de Mayo celebrations...If not, we will surely be playing with Sean.
I will start your cake in the afternoon. Any special requests for your carrot extravaganza? I mean, other than "make it edible"?

Dan, wow how cool is that? I'd love a tour like you got, and am sure the real Matt would too. You must be very proud of your girl :)
