Active Rainer's, Please take a few moments and Vote For a Good Cause,  The Columbus Indiana Dog Park Association Needs Your Help!!!

Being one of the founding members of the Columbus Indiana Dog Park Association, and the Co-Chairman of the Association I just coudn't resist posting this information for all to see.

The Columbus Arts Council has a contest, to help beautify the downtown environment for visitors, residents, employers and employees of businesses downtown.  It's becoming an annual event.  It's the downtown tree decorating known as the "Tree Cozy Project for 2009"

This was last years winner!

One of our key members on the Columbus Indiana Dog Park Association is Amy Mathews; and Amy is a vital member of the association; but she is also an avid knitter!  She has created an entry for the Columbus Dog Park Association, and it's a fitting entry depicting multiple dogs in a patch-work look.

The Columbus Indiana Dog Park Association, entry is: "Dogwood#9", it's location is in front of  Cummins at 432 Washington Street, downtown, so look for it there!

For those of you that don't know, Columbus Indiana was hit by a flood this past summer!  It devastated many areas of the city. But it also had an effect on the Columbus Dog Park Association.  We as members of the association; did not feel it timely or relevant to campaign for funds, while so many of Columbus, Indiana city's residents were in such desperate need.  While trying to recover and recoup, from the loss of their homes, their belongings, and having their lives turned upside down.  Not only did the flood hurt residents, but businesses alike, including many, many, many of them, Cummins included, so we the members of CIDPA felt it prudent to delay attempting to raise funds from the Public, Commercial and Business sectors, for the interim.

Six months later, we the CIDPA, decided to look to other means of fundraising, our initial goal is to reach $100,000. through personal donations. The Columbus Arts's Council "2009 Tree Cozy Project" gives CIDPA an opportunity to raise funds for the Dog Park.

Please vote for our entry #9, entitled "Dogwood".

Thank you to all that take the time to vote for our entry!

Regards,

Martin Dorgan  Co-Chairman of the Columbus Indiana Dog Park Association
