Yep, that's right! Valentine's Day is this Saturday...only two days away. But, never fear. There is plenty to do throughout the entire weekend in Lake Havasu City.
The Western Pyrotechnics Annual Winter Blast began yesterday, February 11th, and continues on until Sunday, February 15th, at SARA Park. This family fun is open to the public, but there is a parking fee of $5 per car required. Lake Havasu City Visitor's Bureau will be holding a public pyrotechnic display on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm. For more info, please call 928-453-3444.
Lake Havasu hosts the Rockabilly Reunion this Friday through Sunday. On Friday, enjoy a throwback to the 50's in an old fashioned Cruise Night. Other festivities throughout the weekend include a Pre '68 Car Show, Pin-Up Girl Contest, Kustom Kulture vendors, bike show, Pinstriper's Contest, carnival rides, live music and much, much more. The Nautical Inn will be hosting the 5th Annual Lake Havasu Winter Heat Water Ski Race, a marathon water ski race, from 8am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, February 14th-15th. For more info, please call 928-855-2141.
The Havasu Art Guild is hosting the Havasu Art Group Expo at the Mohave County Library from 10am-4pm on Valentine's Day. All jewelry, paintings, pottery and woodwork on display is available for sale, with a portion of every sale going to the Art Guild's scholarship fund. Admission is free. Artists must pay a $10 fee to participate in this event.
A nice way to wrap up Valentine's Day with your sweetie is to go to Martini Bay in Lake Havasu City from 5-9pm and participate in the Dinner With 1000 Candles. For $100 per couple, you will eat a sumptuous dinner, sip some wonderful wine and enjoy live entertainment that includes a tribute to Frank Sinatra. Reservations are required. Simply call 928-855-0888 and have a romantic evening with the one you love.
