15 Comments on Yippee! My Kindle 2 arrived!
Well, now I can say I had not heard of that gadget.
It seems I can hardly find time to read a book anymore. Working on Tribes right now, and need to read more of Shift.
Wonders of modern technology.
Sharon, So glad the kids now get to read some books. Heard there was a back order since the Kindle was on Oprah. I know you will enjoy your new gadget!
that looks too cool... wish I had time to read! I have a new puppy and two teens!
Enjoy it and give us a report after a week....
Sharon, I'm currently reading Doris Kearnes Goodwin's book on Lincoln. It weights more than my Labradoodle! I may need one of these for my trip to France!
Evening Sharon, What a cool gizmo this is ! You may have solved my gift dilemma for my wife !
Thom and Ray - Shift is a good book. Gary Keller's previous books are available in the Kindle version - I don't know why this one isn't. I've clicked the amazon button to say, I want this on Kindle (even though I already have the print book, I'd like to carry it around on my Kindle).
Margaret - I heard that, too. I think Kindle 1 may have been out of production since they were working on Kindle 2 - amazon's site4 says that Kindle 2 is in stock. Yes, the kids should enjoy it.
Michele - since I've had Kindle 1 for over a year, I can already tell you that I love it, whether it's Kindle 1 or Kindle 2.
Pat - Doris' book on Lincoln is available in the Kindle version. One of my sons gave me Ken Follett's latest book for Christmas - it was really heavy. Before I flew off in January I bought the Kindle version to take with me.
Bill - glad to help. I know she'll enjoy it.
Hey this sounds like a great thing to have. I'll have to think about getting one of these. Enjoy!!\Portsmouth NH Real Estate
That really is amazing...... Thank goodness I am not a reader, so I get to save money!
Patricia - it has to be good if I'm buying my second one.
Tim - I'm sad that you're not a reader; you're missing so much.
Sharon,
sounds very interesting. I am such a paper person. I should give it a try. How is it on the eyes?
S.A. - It's fine on the eyes - just like a book, except that you can choose the font size.
I think you should give you old Kindle to one of your kids to encourage their reading...I'd recommend your youngest son! :-)
Rob - by checking my blog you pre-empted my "surprise" for tomorrow. My plan is to keep it at the office for my two agent children to share, with my rule that Travel Trumps.
The nice thing is that current (yes, the Clive book) and future book purchases can be on both Kindles at the same time, as long as they stay registered to me. So, if you buy a book for the Kindle, I can read it, and if I buy one, you can read it.
Sharon - and now I know what he paid for this too! Thanks for the information!!! But Sascha also ready constantly so it is indeed a good investment. I know he takes it to the gym with him.
BarbaraJo - it's a great investment for someone who reads a lot.
