Being on Activerain has been interesting. I've had people contact me that I never would have heard from otherwise. This week I got an email from a Searcy resident who is a collector of maps.....lots of maps. In fact he sells them on ebay and has a 100% satisfaction rating out of 1569 transactions.
His name is Jim Bohannon and he asked if I'd like to have a complimentary copy of his CD of 95 Arkansas Railroad and Road Maps from 1833 to 1935. He has seen me put up old pictures of Searcy. I eagerly replied that I'd love one!! He dropped it off at my office.
All you have to do is insert the CD and wait a few seconds for it to load and then view options. Maps can be opened at will and you can zoom in and zoom out. I've tried it out and it works beautifully. I'm impressed that he could put all those things on a CD. I'm putting his ebay site below. In case you want to contact him his email is borger47@aol.com .
