He is a member of the NC Licensed Home Inspector Association and the Charlotte Regional Realtors Association. He has received a certificate from the Charlotte Housing Authority for outstanding assistance to the Home Ownership Institute.

He has taught home inspection classes and also given seminars on termites and radon. He has given many presentations to realtors including Allen Tate, Prudential, Coldwell Banker, Re/Max, and Keller Williams.

To summarize the below questions, I am writing a recommendation instead of answering specifically those questions. If you prefer, you may enter the answers accordingly as it will all be adressed here.

Home Inspection Carolina is, currently, the only inspection company I refer my clients to. The reason is each and every time an inspection is performed the work is completed as promised, the inspector always arrives on time dressed appropriately and well stocked with tools and supplies, the report is more thorough than even I could hope for as each and every tiny detail is accounted for in writing, pictures, and summation with recommendations for correction, Meg always replies to me promptly and schedules everything as I need it done, both Preston and Meg take care of my clients in contacting them when necessary and being available should anyone have questions, the price for service is fair and reasonable and your company allows clients to have the inspections and collect at closing as opposed to requiring up front payment which can be stressful in the home buying process since most people have already started re-evaluating their budgets, and most importantly Meg and Preston both work hard to accomodate my clients and me in situations.

I met with Chip Sprague yesterday and accompanied him while he was performing the inspection. He was extremely thorough and professional answering my questions as he conducted his inspection. It seemed to me he was inspecting the property as if he or a member of his family was going to purchase it. I really appreciated his professionalism, promptness and responsible service. This is the fifth property my husband and I have purchased and I don't think we have every had a better inspection.

Thank you! I have read the report and think it is an accurate objective summary of the items we reviewed yesterday. I do have another question. As I have recently relocated here, I myself am interested in becoming a home inspector. Where do you recommend that I get training and can you provide me with any other information regarding training and field experience that I would need prior to receiving a license? I have never had any complaints about any of the inspectors nor an issue of being messy or late or rude. My clients yesterday were very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge their inspector had. He went over his findings with them and they left feeling very reassured and happy with their decision to use my inspector. The sellers were present as well and were also very reassured about their upcoming inspection as they know it is also with Home Inspection Carolina. I don't use anyone else unless of course they have one they know personally etc. I have dealt with other inspectors as the selling agent and with buyers that have their own preference and can certainly feel very comfortable with my decision to stay with you all.

As there was nothing really wrong with the house, I gave Patrick permission to speak with the sellers and show his pictures about items that came up in the report. I thought he did an absolutely superb job of explaining what was going on in a thorough, non-threatening manner. He didn't waste any time, but made certain to answer any questions.

The report is very clear. Most important to me, it reinforces my effort to explain to my buyers that there are certain things that will often come up in an inspection that are not really addressed in the "inspection" section of the contract we use in real estate.

My broker in charge pretty much wants us to let clients find their own inspectors. I've expanded my recommended list to five and invite them to look for more if they want.   You folks will continue to be one of my five.
