Banc of California Stadium is one of the newest open-air stadiums in Los Angeles. It was just opened on April 18,2018. Many people do not know this, but it was the first Open Air Stadium built since 1962. If you are wondering where is this Stadium? It is on the former Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena’s location. It is directly next to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and just south of the main campus of the University of California more affectionately known as USC.
Currently the Los Angeles FC subleases the site from the university which has the master lease for operating … (7 comments)

The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books for 2018 is in the books...
This is such a fun event for Diane and I, so there is always a bit of a let down when it is over. Here are a few pictures that I wanted to share with you from today's event.
This year we did things differently. We had a friend who flew in from Boston, MA just for the Festival. One of our local friends came as well. Instead of doing my normal routine going from one book selling booth to another and Diane going from one discussion panel to another, … (2 comments)

downtown la: Almost Wordless Wednesdays: Daydreaming or Dreaming.... - 04/11/18 12:00 AM
These two pictures are from our last visit to San Francisco with our friends. As we were leaving Alcatraz I took these two pictures. I am confident you can see or feel the emotional concentration. What was Diane thinking? Was she dreaming? Was she daydreaming? I never asked... you tell me...

The second picture was taken split seconds before or split seconds after the above photo. We were leaving Alcatraz. Keep in mind this was our fourth time there, never the less the view of the Golden Gate Bridge remains equally emotional...

Now if you are considering leaving San Francisco and want to … (25 comments)

downtown la: Flashback to Cinco de Mayo: Almost speechless Sunday - 05/07/17 10:13 PM
Flashback to Cinco de Mayo: Almost speechless Sunday.... I have been so busy that today is the first time I have a moment to write a blog post or two. I was driving from one appointment to another and it was Cinco de Mayo. I saw these two guys running out of one of those Green Cross Health Clinics in Historic South Los Angeles. I had to take a picture. As it turned out it was a bit far away not very memorable. Then I noticed that our friend Dick Greenberg  wrote a post and in that there were some tools I … (14 comments)

As downtown Los Angeles, has been historically … (17 comments)
