Well when things happen that are out of your control how do you handle it? Last weekend Diane and I were heading to Manhattan Beach to do some errands. I washed my car the day before and was ready to have a relaxing Sunday Afternoon. So as I was driving on Sepulveda Blvd now this stretch has been re named Pacific Coast Highway all of a sudden we run int a traffic jam with police, fire department and the list goes on and on....:

Living in a world with abbreviations. First in fairness to disclosure, one of my pet peeves is carrying on communications peppered with abbreviations in writing emails or in blog posts or just in conversation, I find it ‘rude’, ‘condescending’ and most of all ‘annoying’.
Every profession has their ‘short cuts’, Real Estate has more than its share. Here in California we have so many forms that I find it is in bad form when people constantly communicate in abbreviations. I am not going to bore you with all of them, rather I will use just use one as an example.

Very interesting March 2013 the median Sold Price was $600,000. The median Sold Price for March 2014 was $702,500 that is a change of $102,500. A huge increas of 17%!

I was prepping Dinner and Diane was feeding the cats another normal Friday evening at home. Then at 7:52 pm the ground shook, Diane was on the floor feeding the cats and said”… did you feel that?...” As I was chopping onions for my Seafood Risotto I indicated “yes”. My guess was about a 3.1 since the pictures did not shake nor did the nick knacks on top of the furniture.

Well in all fairness I have never heard of it. For the past two days I noticed these signs that were saying that Via Marina (near our home) will be shut down from 07:00am to 10:30am. So I said I wonder why…
As I started researching I realized it was not the Los Angeles Marathon, since that is usually in March, hence I wondered what it could be.

I have written about Venice Beach, Venice Restaurants, the Venice Lifestyle and the Venice Library over the years. These are some of the pictures of that “lifestyle” I am referring to.
