labor day: Happy Labor Day 2022!!!

We are supposed to get rain this Labor Day afternoon, so our normal plans to sit out on the deck and grill some steaks, will have to be altered a bit. Also this Labor Day my youngest son is in Baltimore visiting a friend, and my oldest son, daughter in-law, and gorgeous granddaughter are now living out in Bonney Lake, WA. That leaves just my wife and I, which is OK with me because I am looking for to just vegging out, and getting some extra rest, while watching the much needed rain come down. Labor Day this year is a bright, sunny day, which means a great day for all the Labor Day plans that have been made. For me the only thing I have planned for today is to just get some much needed extra sleep and rest, after a long drive back from my vacation. Normally we plan on having the family over and putting some food on the grill. Labor Day this year is once again a labor day for me. I have been building a shelter for some of my equipment all week, and I am trying to finish most of it today. Normally we plan on having the family over and putting some food on the grill. But this year everyone will be on their own, unless they want to come over and labor with me as well. Labor Day this year is a labor day for me. I have been renovating one of my bathrooms and I am trying to finish most on it this week. Hopefully today I will get a majority of what is left done. Wishing everyone a Happy Labor Day 2016. This year for Labor Day was spent at Yankee Yankee Stadium game with my youngest son. The game was his birthday gift to me, and we had front row seats near the right field foul pole. However, due to Hurricane Hermine which was traveling up the East Coast, we were concern the weather was going to interfere with our plans. But every thing worked out great with the weather and the Yankees beating the Blue Jay 5-3. Unlike the last two years this Labor Day is suppose to be bright, sunny, and hot, which means a great day for all the Labor Day plans that have been made. This is what I plan on doing today, just kicking back. Last year I was hoping to kick back, put some steaks on the grill, and enjoy them with the family. However, Mother Nature had other plans and the weather did not cooperate. So I am hoping for a different result today, and so far so good.
