coronavirus activities: Having A Really Good Day!

I’m having a really good day! After 12 days of self-isolation at home, it was time for me to drop something off at the post office, visit an ATM, and go to the grocery store.
In addition to procuring toilet paper and paper towels, I was able to toss a really nice Salmon fillet into the cart!
As I strolled down the adult beverages aisle, a lingering question lurking in the back of my mind came to the forefront. I like dark beer. I usually buy either Dos Equis Amber, or Modelo. Which of the two I purchase usually comes on whim, because … (20 comments)

coronavirus activities: Trying to Return to Life as a Bookworm

In the past, I was a reader of many books! However, for one reason or another in recent years, I've bought them, put them on the shelf in hopes of reading them soon. Alas, the pages rarely turned! However, with California under a "Stay at Home" order, I thought it to be a good time, to remove a title or two from the shelf, or perhaps order another book or two.

coronavirus activities: Living in a Bubble in the Midst of Extraordinary Times

It is so easy to feel we are living in a bubble, when outside forces are one reality, but your own reality is something a little different! This past week has been like that for me! I’m actually on day 5 of having not left my house.
Last Thursday evening, my grandson, who I hadn’t seen in a few years, came for a visit from Houston. John Luis has been attending Rice University there. He is graduating in May.
