This year, as each year, we Americans have the good fortune to enjoy the privilege of gathering with family and friends to celebrate the beginning of summer and to remember the incredibly brave men and women who have served our country in military service and who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
America truly is the home of the free because of the brave! We hear this expression frequently, but when you reflect on it a bit, it's clear why that is so.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center hosts its annual Memorial Day celebration, which kicks off with a 9:00 a.m. Memorial Day Trail Race on Sunday, May 27th, followed by yoga sessions, musical performances and fireworks.
