Salvation Army's Christmas Toy Assistance Program 2020 In Greater Charlotte Region
This year, as in past years, The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte will be providing Christmas toys to some 7,000+ children in need through their Angel Tree program. Children, ages 0 to 12, who are registered for the Angel Tree program will have their specific Christmas wishes listed on Angel Tree tags, which are "adopted" and fulfilled by community members and organizations.
The Salvation Army believes every child deserves to experience the joys of Christmas and helps to provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children all around the nation. I, too, (18 comments)
Sponsored by Charlotte Mechanical, Charlotte's 2020 10th Annual Coat Drive is underway and goes through November 13th. This year's goal is to collect 6,000 coats for the Salvation Army.
The 2020 Charlotte Annual Coat Drive concludes on Friday, November 13th with Zip-Up Day at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille... enjoy free food, music, give-aways, and more.
Zip-Up Day begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM. This year's Zip-Up Day is also offering a contact-free drive-through where you can stay in your car and just pop your trunk to donate.

9th Annual Charlotte Coat Drive With the warm weather in Charlotte it might seem as if winter is far away... but it'll be here before we know it. The 9th Annual Charlotte Coat Drive has begun and will be collecting coats through November 15th. The 2019 goal is to collect 5,000 coats for the Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte by mid-November. All coats collected will be distributed to Salvation Army's men, women and children’s shelters and the Boys and Girls Clubs.
