houston: The Emerging Workplace

Last week I attended a presentation on The Emerging Workplace. It was a presentation by Miller Office Interiors, Access Business Centers and Interprise Design. It was interesting to hear how the workplace is changing largely due to technology and the preferred work environment of younger workers. Office layouts are getting more open and collaborative. An open space with gathering areas stimulates greater creativity than putting everyone in separate offices and cubes where they can’t see or talk to each other. houston: Here We Go Again - Texas is the Best, Greatest, Highest.....

I know the poor folks that don't live in Texas get tired of those of us that do bragging about how we're the best, greatest, highest, on whatever the subject at hand might be. Okay, so we need to ignore education, funding for social services, and the like, but for conservative, pro-business types we can truly brag that it is the best place to be for business - low cost of living, central time zone, great climate (sans July & August), amazing airport, on and on.
