Improved California Home Sales Numbers Reported

DataQuick, a tracking firm, reported today, that the California home sales count for the month of December 2009 rose 10.6% from the December 2008 figures.  Home prices also posted gains.

The reported numbers tallied, also illustrate totals were up 16.7% from November.

The median price paid for a California home in December was $264,000 - a 6% increase from December 2008's $249,000.


Of the 41,837 new and resale California homes and condos sold last month, 41% represented foreclosures - down from the 55.2% December 2008 total.

DataQuick reports that December sales tally increases from November numbers are usual for the season.

Myrl, Great to hear that your market is picking up and hope it contiues.  The terrible weather that MO has had this month has slowed the market  but I am of the opinion that it will be picking up soon also.

I heard of mulitple offers in Land Park and South Land Park within the past week and both were homes listed for over $600,000.00.  Now that sound better.
