Spring Cleaning Can Open Space for NEW GOOD Business!

I know in some parts of the country, spring has not arrived yet, but the good news is, now that it is March... it IS coming! Whew, you may be saying or maybe you are as lucky as I am in Arizona with a nice wet winter that has given us a respite from the drought. We are dancing naked, so excited (just kidding!) about the upcoming abundant wildflowers and the streams and lakes that are to have water. There is a certain lightness that comes with Spring. I love the concept of Spring Cleaning... actually, I have found that clutter-busting is always a good activity -- but somehow, the concept of it tied in with Spring fits well. So this month, let's get rid of some of the things that are draining energy. Are you ready?

My March Freebie to download is the Clean Sweep AssessmentTM.There are 4 areas and 100 items for you to consider. Taking a look at what you can do to make life run more smoothly is a very smart use of time. Much of our focus is often on adding more to do to our already overloaded days. So, this month, let's remove some of the things that are cluttering up our ability to work effectively! Often, the items we are tolerating in our lives are marginally draining our daily attention and energy, but when added together, slow down what could be productive time. We might be able to function pretty well if there are just a few of these, but I find that most people do not examine all of the areas they are being distracted by and it leaves them feeling overwhelmed and unfocused. This assessment is one I use with my coaching clients, helping them bring their scores gradually up to 85 or 90.

The Clean Sweep will give you a list to work on. You can also approach this by asking yourself the question, "What am I tolerating?" and then writing out that list. Usually people start out with 50-60 or more areas where they are putting up with something that is draining energy. Some of the items will overlap; Others will stand alone. I am going to cover 3 different areas in the next 3 Tuesday Tips and you can work through them with me. This week is about identifying them.

If you'd like to delve into this even further...This month's Fossland's Forum is focused on Spring Cleaning: Join me Friday, March 26, 2010 1 PM EDT, Noon CDT, 11 AM MDT, 10 AM AZ & PDT, 7 AM Hawaii
