Looking for something interesting to do this coming Saturday, July 10th? Well, look no further. Come out between 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM to the Jesse H Jones Park & Nature Center to learn about Chinking.
You'll have the opportunity to learn how clay, pine straw & water are mixed together into chinking. Then help fill the gaps, or chinks, in the walls of the Redbud Hill Homestead, which is a re-creation of a 1820-30 Texas colonization era homestead.
Jesse H Jones Park & Nature Center is located at 20634 Kenswick Drive in Humble. This is north of FM 1960, between Hwy 59 & Cypresswood.
