Real Estate Blogging Success Story: “They’re Choosing a Home!”

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with RealSupport Inc.

One of the joys of blogging for Real Estate agents is hearing their success stories!  The more clients we have come to us with their need for an SEO rich, real estate relevant blog; the more success stories we hear about real estate blogging.

I “sat down” for a virtual interview with Theresa D’Antuono, our client and an agent in the historic town of Lexington MA to discuss her Lexington MA Real Estate blog: LexingtonHousesBlog.com.  We’ve been working with Theresa for years and in June when she came to us for help with a new advertising project, RealSupports’ Project and Design Coordinator, Jen, mentioned real estate blogging as a marketing option; Theresa jumped on board.

The success she’s experienced is something we thought worth sharing:

Allie:  What made you decide to use blogging as a way to improve your business?

Theresa:  I had thought about blogging for quite a while, but couldn't figure out how I would find the time, let alone the creativity that is needed to write articles. I was having a small advertising project created by Jen at RealSupport and blogging was suggested as another way of getting myself out there.

Allie:  What was your experience with RealSupport like as we helped you set up your blog and create your look and feel?

Theresa: I can't praise the RealSupport staff enough – you’re are all super!  Jen did a fabulous job in setting up the blog. She designed a logo and header and chose a great layout, color and style. I am soooooooo pleased with the look and layout of the blog.

Allie:  Jen is really talented and we’re lucky to have her here at RealSupport!  She just designed and launched the new RealSupport website which we’ve all been really excited about!

Allie:  What are your thoughts on the types of blog posts (content, creativity, using your key words, etc...) that we write for you?

Theresa:  Wow, that is an easy question!  I truly LOVE the articles that you’re writing. I would never be able to come up with such relevant, local topics and information.  You put such a warm and informative spin on the articles. And all of the key words are perfect - and the photos are relevant to the article. I look forward to receiving your weekly article!

Allie:  Thanks Theresa!  It’s been fun researching and writing about Lexington MA Real Estate!  It’s a beautiful town soaked in rich history and it’s always interesting to learn about new places through blogging.   Just another perk of my job!

Allie:  You like to post to your blog as well, Theresa, and it’s been great to see your personal posts!  We always encourage clients to be involved with their blog if they enjoy writing and you seem to have a knack for it!  What’s been your process for the blogs that you write and post yourself?

Theresa:  It has really surprised me how easy it is to come up with topics for my blog. I try to keep it "town" related with a sprinkling of real estate information. The beauty of my Lexington Houses blog is that I can spend a block of time writing the articles and then schedule them to be posted on certain days of the week.

Allie:  That’s an efficient way to go about it!  Blogger has a lot of great features and we enjoy using their services since we’re able to customize and enhance the blogs to show off our clients’ branding!

Allie:  I heard that you were contacted by someone who wanted to meet up with you because they were drawn to your blog?  What was the result of that interaction?

Theresa:  Boy was I surprised when I got a phone call from a relocating family to my area who saw my blog.  I was so excited I could barely contain myself on the phone! The whole family came into town and we spent a day looking at properties. As a direct result of my blog, they are coming back this week to choose a home!

Allie:  Wow!  That’s exciting news!  And what a great return on investment for allowing RealSupport to blog for you on a consistent basis!  That transaction will easily cover your venture in the blog and you’ll have made a profit on top of it all - real estate blogging truly is a powerful SEO tool!

Allie:  Do you have any advice for agents who may be on the fence about blogging and aren't sure if it's something they want to pursue as a marketing strategy?

Theresa:  Just 6 months ago, my response would have been totally different. But now having had the experience of blogging, I strongly encourage other agents to jump in. If you are hesitant about writing, then hire RealSupport to write as much or as little that you would like. There is a budget for everyone.
You will be surprised that their custom written articles will give you the push you need to hit the ground running. They will take you by the hand and gently guide you through the process.

Allie:  Thanks Theresa!  We’ve really enjoyed working with you and are excited to see how your business continues to grow!  Are there any additional thoughts or comments you’d like to share about your blogging experience?

Theresa:  Blogging for me has opened up my first social media door. I was driving through town the other day and saw our local guides giving tours to some out of town visitors. I hopped out of the car with camera in hand and took some photos of them. I was as excited as they were! Before blogging, I would have just smiled and kept driving by.

Allie:  That’s great Theresa, and would’ve been really fun to see in person!  It’s inspiring to hear about the doors that blogging has opened up for you and your enthusiasm for your blog and your business!  Thanks for taking the time to share your blogging success story!  I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from you in the future!

If you have questions about real estate blogging or are ready to get started; let us know!  We’d love to help raise your search engine ranking.  Hopefully you’ll experience the same success as Theresa has found through her blog.  Let us know how we can help!
