Thousands of books are donated and the sale benefits Senior Adult Services, a local nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives of seniors and caregivers in Addison, Carrollton, Coppell and Farmers Branch.  This year's sale is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 5-6, 2010, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.  The event is held at the Addison Circle Park Pavillion, 4970 Addison Circle Drive, Addison TX.

Admission is FREE, as is the parking. Park on Addison Circle Drive, Quorum Drive or Festival Way.

You can find new and slightly used classics, paperbacks, coffee table books, children's books, references, cookbooks, history books, periodicals and more.  If you're a reader, come on out and support this great organization.

Hi Lorrie... I love books and book sales.  There always seems to be a gem hidden in there somewhere!

Lorrie, I have been told that the book is dead, along with the newspaper, but I absolutely love to have them in my hands.  A kindle does not allow me to add my own notes in the margin or fold down the page for later review.   I am also a lover of the internet and all the tools, but when I want to relax and enjoy, it is always a book. Thanks for your post.

Call a Marana neighbor, I'm THERE! LONG REALTY

This really sounds fun!  We go to the Friends of the Library sales around here!  A few weeks ago we stumbled across a thrift store that was clearning out paperbacks 9 for $5.  We came home with BAGS!  I hope the Bookwork Bash is a SMASHing success!
