Kate:  This sounds like a great idea, and lots of fun.  Ten years ago I drove from Fort Worth to Portland, and coming up Highway 5, I drove through the Mt Shasta National Forest.  That is/was some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen.  So relaxing.  I remember having to stop for gas in Yreka... and honestly, I just wanted to stay right there... and look for a secluded place in the mountains/forest.

In my opinion, ya can't get much more perfect than that.  I remember thinking that it seemed like "God's Country."  I was guessing that "She" had a place right there... somewhere in the mountains... surrounded by all those beautiful trees... rivers... and even that beautiful single-track rail line I remember seeing.  <smile>

Karen, it is a magnificent area.  We are definitely blessed here.
