Monterey Hills CA Meet a Candidate for City Council

Come meet Rudy Martinez hosts a coffee to hear the Candidate for the 14th Council District in the city of Los Angeles. Mr. Martinez will talk about the community. He is running for the seat currently held by Councilman Jose Huizar who is running for re-election.

The meeting will be held at 4224 Via Arbolada(Marshall Villas Recreation Room) in Monterey Hills on Tuesday, February 11, 2011 at 7PM. There will be light refreshments served. If interested in attending, please send an email to the Monterey Hills Federation at mhfederaton@gmail.com. This event according to The Monterey Hills Federation is being hosted by Mr. Martinez and not at the expense of the Monterey Hills Federation. The election for city council district 14 is being held March 8, 2011.

I can’t remember any politician down here having a coffee to meet people. Usually they all just have those $1000-a-plate fundraisers and then bash each other on television commercials.

Russel -- the coffee gathering has been pretty popular and since this is looking to be a pretty contentious race, should be interesting to see what Mr Martinez(a businessman who is also famous for starring in the reality show Flip This House)has to say.

I went to a political gathering once and wound up voting for the woman. She had been a consumer advocate on one of the news channels for about 20 years. As soon as she got elected, she became a politician, which was really discouraging. She was found guilty of ethics violations, campaign law violations, etc.
