Surfwood  Monterey is a 92 unit condominium complex in the Highland Park/Hermon neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles.  Built in 1989(first move-ins were in 1990) the complex features subterranean parking, two elevators, pool, spa and gym.   The homes are two bedrooms and two baths in a variety of floor plans.  Each unit has washer-dryer hook-ups.   The top floor units have higher ceilings with clerestory windows.

There were two sales in Surfwood Monterey in 2010 according to multiple listing service records.  Both of the sales in Surfwood  were short sales.  The average sales price for the units sold were $252,500 with an average price per square foot of $254.03(average square feet for sold in Surfwood Monterey in 2010 was 994)

Just the name Surfwood would put it on my list.

I once found a dream home that I wanted so badly but it was on Nolan Street. My first boss out of college was named Nolan, and we were the epitome of opposites. We just didn’t get along and I finally quit after only three months. I just didn’t want to live on Nolan Street so I kept looking.

Russel - you never know what will motivate a buyer to buy or in the case of the Nolan Street property for you NOT to buy.   Sometimes it is not as obvious and so much questions of a buyer must be asked to determine ALL reasons.
