I read a book written by her at that time friend and confidant who shared Lucy's personal sides and opinions. He describes Lucy and himself flying over the United States and looking down at all the lights below. Lucy then says, you see all those lights below...those are homes and if I knocked on anyone of their doors, they would let me in
YES, THEY WOULD LET YOU IN...WOW
I never forgot that statement. There is so much to glean from it in many categories. Her work could be summed up as making people laugh at her first.... and then themselves. She started life like anyone else and then worked and worked until her fame ducks lined up and quacked
HER PORTION AND HER MET UP
Luck, skill, right time right place, a break here and there and a person can find what they are looking for. The Universe designed it this way on purpose. Your portion hides from you but that is so you can court it and seek it out thereby demonstrating how much you want it and appreciate it . Then, it reveals itself and you find it. Happy ending indeed
SHE WAS A SKILLED ACTOR...NOT FUNNY
Lucy admits that she was not a naturally funny person and this is confirmed by many that knew her personally. It was her job to act funny and if you laughed and laughed and tuned in each week, then she was on her job. A good actor serving up their wares to a hungry audience. Everybody wins
WEALTHY THEN AND MEGA-WEALTHY NOW
She became wealthy and famous and in her end days did what everyone else did. Simplified her life and reminisced. The mega-revenues that her shows still generate are incredible high as those shows are carried all over the globe in different time slots. Billions are not out of the question here
POWER, FAME, AND MONEY
She ended up owning a major studio and with the power, money and fame, could have done anything she wanted to do even unto the political realms ala Schwarzenegger and Reagan and others. The world was her oyster and she was a pearl
