The 3 E's of Blog Content: Educate, Engage and Entertain
We all know that content in our blogs is king. Without usable content, the blog would have little or no value. But what in fact are the guiding principals for content? Having attended numerous webinars of for real estate and technology, there is often discussion of the three E's of Blog Content.
Educate: We do that with numerous posts to inform consumers on our markets with market reports, stories of our experiences in the industry, real estate trends, and specifics about the process with which consumers will engage in the endeavor of securing or liquidating real property.
Engage: This is the part of a post where a consumer might feel the need to ask for clarification, add their own evidence of experience where it may be the same or differ or in some way cause them to take a particular action or want to either consult further or even better, to subscribe for regular receipt of information.
Entertain: One of the best ways to attract and hold the attention is inform the consumer in such a way as they may enjoy the experience. This can be in a variety of ways from illustration, photos of the experience or even in a light hearted manner with anecdotal experiences that holds their attention.
To one degree or another, we each have the capacity to do all three of these things in a blog post as well as within the Facebook, Twitter and Linked-In social medias. We should endeavor to try to include the three E's of content in each post or at the very least to cover these three essentials of content over several posts. Since ActiveRain is actually about building a substanial number of relationships with our peers as well as Internet Empowered Consumers, the three E's are also necessary components for building successful professional relationships.
