Services for Real Estate Pros with The Real Estate Investment Institute 1retiredsage

People Centric Agents understand that real estate is irrelevant except for it's relationship to the people that use it.

Even dilapidated buildings don't have problems. Lots don't care what happens to them. You can maintain, you can rehab'/remodel, you can demolish a building, you can redevelop real estate, but you can only solve problems for people.

Solving the people problem is all that matters.

Deal centric real estate focuses on the ideal, Deal centric agents would pass on 75% because they want an impossible 100%.

People centric real estate focuses on the doable!

Every one would like the ideal home, property or investment, but the people centric agent realizes that if the ideal is not achievable, do the doable!

The people centric agent understands you solve the people problem, leaving every client better off than they were by getting them the best doable deal.

Property centric real estate may have a place for the very affluent who can afford such lavish indulgent. Even the super rich won't remain that way for long buying monuments and alligators!

Commission centric real estate, vial agents put their commission ahead of the client's best interest. Of the so called noble callings only politics, medicine and law have more people practicing this perversion than real estate in all it's forms. IE; Agent who sold new homes with huge cash inducements, Loan Originators who sold "Joe Paycheck" option ARM's!

PC centric real estate, these well intentioned fools promote the theory dejour without regards to the long term interest of the clients! The PC centric plead ignorance, clamming only to know "that's the way everybody does it." God forgive them, no one else should.People centric real estate

People Centric agents know that a starter home is better than paying rent while bemoaning the fact that you can't afford a home like your parents current one.

People Centric agents know a bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

People Centric agents know how to sell a 2% return!

Bill just about every Sales Person I know , regardless of the Sales Field they are in, professes to be "People Centric", but the fact is there are many who are really "Commission Centric".  There is nothing wrong with being a Sales Person who is money driven.  Money driven Sales People get the job done more often than not, but they should admit to being who they are, and not what they what others to think they are.

George,

I agree if we're talking about the clerks with customers at a department store hardware!

I have to respectively disagree if we're talking about real estate!

"Money driven Sales People get the job done more often than not..." But, what is the job? Generating a paycheck!

Good agents get paid too!

When you're dealing with people's lives there should be a hirer calling.

I deal in people's lives. I found my beliefs on a tenant of the "Hippocratic Corpus" a codicil of the "Hippocratic Oath" which says: "First I shall do no harm!" That can't be reconciled with the Commission Centric'c edict "first I shall get paid!"

I know it's no longer PC for many in medicine just like so many in religion, money has replaced morality.

None of this takes anything away from making money hopefully great money, but the goal, the job is to help the client with great service!
