The Sacramento Dry Rot Repair Market is Heating Up!

There are some seasonal trends in the home repair industry. There is usually a spike here in Sacramento when the weather starts to get warmer and continues until the rainy season. The peak in repair calls will be from April to October.

Of course there will be those calls for dry rot repair throughout the year situations happen all year long. Some wood rot repair needs to be addressed right away because it is causing a greater problem. Rain water getting into the home during a rain storm because the siding is rotted is an immediate problem that should wait until the weather gets better.

Why is the demand for dry rot repair so great right now?

There are a few things that have been happening to increase the number of calls that we are getting. The first is the need for repairs after receiving a termite report following a pest inspection. Home owners have figured out that the termite company is not the only option when repairing their home. Often times the repairs can be done for less.

Also, since the home values are rising in Sacramento and the supply low, there are those who are preparing their home to come to market. Knowing that a good first impression is helpful in selling their home, homeowners are having work done to remove much of the wood rot that will need to be done before listing.

Many of the calls for estimates are due to the regular maintenance of the homes in the Sacramento Region. Some are just wanting to keep up, others are doing repair work prior to painting their homes while the weather is good. Both are great ideas in maintaining a home.

The reasons for getting your home free of dry rot damage can vary, but it is happening right now at an accelerated rate. If you are looking to have some repairs done, scheduling it now may be important so that it can be done as soon as possible. Schedules are filling up and you may not want to put things off for another year, so contact your local contractor for an estimate for repairs.

Never understand how homeowners can ignore maintenance - dry rot is something that can be prevented. So much easier than costly repairs - but, then hey, glad you're staying busy. :)
