Yet another marvelous outdoor event is yours to enjoy this coming weekend.
The 25th Annual Encinitas Street Fair sponsored by the Downtown Encinitas Mainstreet Association, will be held in the heart of Encinitas on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM until 5 PM each day. The fair is held along the coast road (Route 101) from D to J Streets. Estimated attendance is around 100,000 so it should be a great event (with weather expected to be in the 70s).
This is an amazing outdoor festival, with 450 vendors offering a wide range of arts, crafts, clothing, food and much more. There will be entertainment on 4 different stages consisting of music, dancing and singing – A Beer Garden (at Karl Strauss), a Community Stage (Hansen Surfboards), a Court Yard Stage (at the Lumberyard Shops and Restaurants), and at the Encinitas School of Music.
This is also an opportunity for folks to donate funds to help preserve the Encinitas Boat Houses being acquired and preserved by the Encinitas Preservation Association.
Expect parking to be a challenge so be prepared. And since there is a train stop in town you can take the Coaster train and be within a block of the festivities. The Breeze, our local bus system, also will have plenty of buses to accommodate visitors. Visit the website for more information.
