Here is a man focused intently on a simple pleasure in life, reading a newspaper!

What makes this picture unusual is where it was taken and how it was taken. The picture below will help put it in context. The image was shot on the "streets" of Venice, Italy. There was only one way to take this picture......from a boat, or more accurately, a Venetian gondola!

All of the buildings in Venice seem to be falling apart. Especially on the canal side. Many buildings look as if they haven't been refurbished in decades or longer. But this is part of the charm of this city. Everywhere you look there is a picture waiting to be snapped!

I love these two photos. In the picture of the building, I might have missed the man in the window. You have a keen eye for looking at the ordinary (to people in Venice) and seeing the extraordinary when you zoomed in on the man in the window reading his newspaper with what looks like a cup of coffee in front of him too! I love that candid shot!

I think it's time for another trip to Italy? What do you say???
