Monday Motivational...Keep Going, Don’t Give Up
One of the many attractions of Delray Beach is our year-round beautiful weather. Snowbirds are attracted to it as are many others.
Some of our residents are those seeking to heal from their addictions. Every Saturday and Sunday morning, as well as any holiday, a group meets at the beach at 7 for one hour.
This weekend, while we were walking along the sidewalk, the meeting was ending and the attendees were heading back to their cars.
I overheard one of the members giving encouragement to someone who was frustrated at how slow his progress was going.
He placed a hand on this person’s shoulder and told him…
“Hey, it’s not a race. All you have to do is keep going.”
Doesn’t that apply to most everything in life, whether what we do in our work life or personal life?
When we’re making calls to clients or hope-to-be client, we can’t stop after 10 and think we’ve tried.
When we’re trying to lose those extra pounds after the holidays, don’t stop if you haven’t lost them in 30 days. Keep going.
It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. Confucius
