A new week and it was quite the journey. The beach cooperated and the day before we left, the ocean was a surfer’s dream.

My favorite squirrel that will take peanuts from my hand actually came by to say good-bye and take his final peanut from me. It made my day.

The traffic cooperated and for once there was not a major accident on the stretch of I-10 just west of Baton Rouge that goes over the swamps of Louisiana.

As much as Larry and I love our road trips, it felt good to reach Houston and see the family.
