2019/2020 Back-to-School Information For Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Schools (CMS)
It's just a little more than two weeks now until the 2019-2020 school year begins on Monday, August 26th in Charlotte, as well as in the other Mecklenburg County towns of Pineville, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Matthews, Mint Hill. The Charlotte Mecklenburg School's (CMS) website provides links for all the information you might need to get your children ready for the upcoming school year, including information about school open houses, bus/transportation schedules, school assignments and more. - CMS's mobile app can be download to any smartphone or tablet. Access all the information you might need about any of the 160+ schools in the CMS system... from school closings/delays, critical dates and deadlines for district events, and news. Click here to download the CMS mobile app.

Parent Checklist For Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools:
Student Assignment
- Families may enroll students at their home school. Click here for information on enrolling new students, returning students, pre-K students.
- Update your address if needed. Make sure your children's schools have the most current address and phone numbers for your family.
- Make sure your children have all required vaccinations and physicals

School Bus Transportation
To register your child for bus transportation to and from school, click here. If you have any questions, call 980-343-6715. CMS requests that children be at the stop 10 minutes before the scheduled stop time.
The "Here Comes The Bus" mobile app will be available for download and set-up beginning Monday, August 19th. The app will go live tracking buses on the first day of Monday, August 26th. Families with children who ride a school bus will be able to use the free bus tracking system. Parents who download the app will have access to real-time location of their child's bus on a map, as well as scheduled and actual arrival times at their assigned stop and school.
