It's been a wonderful 'winterish' day in Phoenix! It rained all night and continues to rain on and off = JOY! It is so green in the desert which we don't see all that often, every 4 or 5 years maybe. I love it and so do all the mountains that surround our home! It's absolutely beautiful in Phoenix!
This picture appears 'as if' it has a red path, but it doesn't. One morning over the Christmas holiday I looked out from the kitchen area through a french door and thought - what the heck? That picture doesn't have any red on it - what happened! Of course I had to go in there and figure it out! Turns out we happened to move a little table, just slightly, and the sun was reflecting off a red shiny decoration. But the magic only happened for about 20 minutes or so every morning. You can imagine that every morning we enjoyed waiting for our 'red path' to magically appear!
Now that all the decorations have been put away, the painting is back to it's full 'winter' glory. We moved the painting to over our entry bench in the foyer. The picture is incredibly stunning there as well. Since that's where we sit before we go out walking - it's perfect. And... as a bonus, we discovered last week, that just as the sun is setting the most beautiful colors appear from our etched glass door windows! I have yet to take a photo but I will soon! The rain will stop and soon the sunsets will bless us once again with magic!
