I can't say as that I know why Timmothy wrote this strip last year unless Carol cooked up a really fine meal that day (which is entirely possible as she is a really good cook). I am also not sure why he drew Titus with the X on his eyes.. he's not dead, just stuffed.
Our table was not quite as full as the one above for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years but it certainly had more than any one of us or the sum of all of us could possibly eat. Now, nearly three weeks later, I'm thinking I need to go on one of my 7 to 10 day fasts (or go up one pants size).
Timmothy's cartoon strip, Titus & Philemon, has me reflecting on just how good my life is today. Never lacking for shelter, food or clothing. Yesterday I wrote a post about how January and February are the months of highest depression... sometimes the best way out is to count your blessings. As the gospel song says "count them one by one". I think if we each do that every day we will be much less to feeling down at any time.
