It is November and I am so thankful for the love and affection we receive from our pets. As I was coming home from a listing appointment one of my neighbors who was walking his two dogs stopped and we started chatting.
He said, that he never realized how affectionate our cats were until he saw them the other day, waiting for Diane by the door. I told him this is a ritual every weekday, Diane calls me ten minutes away from the house, I open the door and all three cats head to the front door screen and wait for her.
If I am busy cooking Jill starts yelling that Diane is home. Totally amazing the love and affection they give her when she arrives. We always joke that all they want is for her to get home and start feeding them dinner.
The reality is as I write this blog post, Diane is in bed already sleeping and all three cats are next to her giving her love and affection.
So, if you do not have cats or dogs and are looking for love and companionship, you might want to consider adopting on or more of these loving creatures. Keep in mind before I had pets, dogs and cats I had no idea either. Once I did, it was difficult to describe the feeling. So the short answer is, I was amazed the 100 per cent love and affection they provided me with. It is so rewarding to realize how much love they can give. Interestingly it is all unconditional love.
I find it interesting that they all find time to individually connect with their humans and carve out a time to shower them with love and affection.
There are so many animals in the Shelters and in Animal Rescue Organizations that are looking for a home, I wish we had more room and time we clearly would love to adopt more, but we understand the responsibility that it goes with having pets. Clearly they are like children that never grow up, hence they need to be taken care of. They have feelings and emotions. Take my word for it....
