Design2Sell knows that you can't always control when your house is going to be on the market. The holidays are a busy time and with so much going on, you can forget that you're still trying to sell your house!
Keep these things in mind as you celebrate the holidays and have friends and family over this season.

staging: Sherwin-Williams Colormix 2012- Hot New Colors for 2012! - 12/05/11 01:08 AM
This week Design2Sell participated in a webinar by Sherwin-Williams. Their Colormix 2012 presentation forecasted  various colors and themes that we would be seeing more of in 2012. The foundation for the 2012 hot color wheel is nature inspired. Life blood reds, watery blues, growing greens, and natural neutrals. Overwhelmingly, the focus was on red, and its variations. Look out for purples. oranges, and bold color combinations! If you don't love red, no worries, you can still incorporate small accent pieces in 2012's hot new color palate!

staging: Who Doesn't Belong At Your Open House - 11/07/11 01:22 AM
Spike and Fluffy may be adorable and well mannered, but they could sabotage your well staged home. Design2Sell can transform your home into a sellable jewel, but dogs and cats aren't part of the design plan. Leaving pets out during an open house or showing can kill a sale. Here's one story from Debra Gould www.stagingdiva.com
When I was trying to sell my home on Salt Spring Island, I staged it beautifully. I didn’t worry about my cat Gracey because she was outside exploring the forest on my acre of land. When the agent showed my home, she left the front … (3 comments)

staging: Small Kitchens Can Still Be Big on Style - 10/30/11 01:03 AM
A fabulous kitchen will sell a house faster. This is a well known fact in the real estate industry. However, a kitchen doesn't need to be huge to sell a home, it just needs to be beautiful. Design2Sell does not overlook the kitchen when staging a home. A kitchen must be high on style, just as the rest of the house. Small kitchens can be just as fabulous as big kitchens.
Don't believe us? Big time chef Ina Garten has a small galley style kitchen in her Manhattan apartment.

Sun rooms, loft spaces, media and game rooms are great bonus spaces and are valuable square footage. Many times, however, they become "catch all" for unwanted belongings or remain unused and empty.
The Design2Sell team recently faced this situation when designing bonus rooms in three model homes for builder Wilson Parker Homes. Extra space is a fantastic problem to have, but each room must be clearly defined or potential buyers may not be able to envision themselves using the space.
