A question I often hear at Key Realty is.... is it better to buy or to rent? The question to buy or to rent is a question that not only people who live in the Toledo area ask themselves, but with the university soon to resume classes may also be a question for parents who children are studying at the University of Toledo. An article in The Toledo Blade newspaper ”Study says buying over renting has its payoff” on 8-12-12 addressed this very question. The article was based on a study done by Zillow.com. It is amazing to me that lately whenever I meet one of my friends one of the first things they ask is "Bert how is the market?" My response to them is it's not as bad as the media would want us to believe. Let's look at home sales in the Monclova and Whitehouse areas. Monclova Ohio and Whitehouse Ohio are just outside of Toledo Ohio. In the last 6 months, per statistics from The Toledo Board of Realtors, 103 homes sold in Monclova and Whitehouse areas which are in the Anthony Wayne School Dristict.
