My granddaughter's high school had their homecoming dance last Saturday night. Last month my grandson who is in a different school district and a freshman had his homecoming. We feel so fortunate to be able to share in these milestones as they are growing up. Hailey at 15 and a sophomore definitely found her glass slipper and looked gorgeous, poised, at ease and had a wonderful time! She is as beautiful inside as she is outside :). This past August we traveled to Chamonix, France. We hopped on the gondola, The L'Aiguille du Midi, and soared to dizzying heights to the top of the Mont-Blance Massive. Watching the hikers trudge up the mountain we spotted two who were breaking away from the pack and going it alone. It reminded me of Tobias George Smollett's quote: "Who bravely dares must sometimes risk a fall..."

The average sold price was down only 1.06%. Since the average square footage of home sales was down 8.63% (buyers purchasing smaller homes) it makes sense the average SOLD price/Sq. Ft. was up 5.74%. The average days on market were up 9.76%. However with the Central Texas fires and the drought it stands to reason many showings were put on hold.

However, in comparing August 2010 to August 2011 the Months Supply of Inventory has fallen 21.2%.
