The Maricopa County, Arizona real estate market report for May, 2011, shows some promising information*: SALES: There were 9814 recorded sales in May, up 3.5% over April and up 10% over May, 2010. This despite last year's government tax incentive for home buyers.
Active Listings: Active listings were down 9.4% on June 1 at 31,213 and 33.3% below June 1, 2010. Of the active listings, 7,827 are under contract, leaving only 23,386 truly active listings in all of Maricopa County MLS. arizona real estate: Open house strategies - questions for everyone

Recently, I held a "group" open house in a guard gated community here in Scottsdale, AZ. It was a big occasion because until recently, the HOA's wouldn't allow us to hold open houses - EVER. That law was changed recently here in Arizona and they can't stop us. So, being the "rebels" we are, we planned a "group" open house with one main house and 6 other vacant homes on lock box. It was a success and we're all working with new, potential buyers. The issue that came up was do you escort the lookers through the house or greet them at (3 comments)

When I first joined Activerain, I really didn't know what to expect or what to do. Then, I kept reading the great blogs and all the helpful information provided by members here. On Sunday, I posted a blog for an open house I was holding with my manager and other office Realtors®. It was an "epic" open house in a guard gated community that, until the recent law changed in Arizona, wouldn't allow open houses. We teamed up as an office so that we could also showcase the other 6 homes in the community that were vacant and on lock box (3 comments)
