Marin County Sunday Open Houses - 03/14/10 02:32 PM
If you are looking for Sunday Open Houses in Marin County, there are several ways to do so:
1.  Check the Marin Independent Journal's website
2.  Check the Bay Area Real Estate Information's Client side website
3.  Check Marin Open Homes website
4.  If you are working with an agent that has you subscribed to CleanOffer, that is another excellent way to go.
Note:  Most homes are open from 1-4pm, but some are only open from 2-4pm.  So plan accordingly!

Marin County, CA Home Sales Charts ~ 2001 - Present - 03/09/10 06:51 PM
As you see in the charts below the number of homes being sold is up slightly from 2009 and 2008, and that is really important.  The average sales price, on the other hand is only up slightly from the same time in 2009 but down substantially from this time in 2008.  Suffice to say, we are back to reality.  Another good thing.

Sonoma, CA Home Sales Charts ~ 2001 - Present - 03/09/10 06:42 PM
As you will see in the charts below the average sales price in the beautiful wine country town of Sonoma is up a bit this month.  Several higher end homes closed to help boost the average with most of the sales being the distressed sales and the low end.

As of March 8, 2010 31% of available listings in Marin County are in escrow.
For the month of February 2010 only 136 homes sold in Marin County for an average final selling price of $859,332.
The range of final selling prices was from a low of $165,000 to a high of $4,050,000.
Of the 136 homes that sold 54 were distress sales.
It took these homes an average of 123 days to sell.
