Mortgage rates have fallen by over a full percentage point since Q4 of 2018, settling at near-historic lows. This is big news for buyers looking to get more for their money in the current housing market.According to Freddie Mac’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey,
“the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) rate averaged 3.60 percent, the lowest it has been since November 2016.”
Sam Khater, Chief Economist at Freddie Mac, notes how this is great news for homebuyers. He states,
“…consumer sentiment remains buoyed by a strong labor market and low rates that will continue to drive home sales into the fall.”

As a Realtor and Parents of a high school senior, my wife and I had no idea we would be offsetting our child's ability to purchase a home by 19%, when we encouraged him to go off to college (even with the difference in income that education may have earned him).
Without a doubt as parents our intentions are always the best, but sometimes as good as our intentions are, we miss the mark! Usually our children recover from our mistakes in a day or two, and all is good.

Hawaii County Planning Department has proposed fines of $30,000 for property owners that violate our new ordinance 18-114, or better known as "Bill 108"
In the blink of an eye, we have gone from the "Wild, Wild West", to the most "Policed" State in the Nation.
Don't get me wrong, Bill 108 has its pros and cons, but $30,000 a day in fines is neither a "pro" nor "con", it's just pure INSANITY!
