saddleback valley: Wordless Wednesday... Portola Hills Natural Beauty Shines - 03/01/17 10:36 AM
Words really not necessary for this shot on my walk after the rain in Portola Hills.

This view was taken as I was walking through the Sycamore Glen tract in Portola Hills.  The view of the Saddleback Mountains is absolutely stunning and SO GREEN!!
Though I think we are a little tired of the rain, I for one am so excited it is going to hit 80 degrees this week.  I am extremely grateful for the rain we have had.. Portola Hills natural beauty shines!

saddleback valley: Single Home Owners - Distressed - Who are you turning to? - 10/08/08 05:06 PM
Anyone who follows my blogs, know I have a special affinity towards Singles who own Real Estate.  Why, because I believe singles are over looked in the market place yet they are a force that is changing the face of the market.   I also believe being a single homeowner is a great achievement.  Think about it, you have been able to accomplish something that many who have dual incomes, etc have not. But I also know many single homeowners have a different set of anxieties that go along with being a "Single" Homewoner.
Yet, in today's market I come across many … (1 comments)

saddleback valley: If owning a home is not all the important then why all the anxiety? - 09/30/08 08:12 AM
The answers lie within the fact that your home, yes is an aspect of financial security, but more importantly represents a life!  So as with any loss, comes profound sadness and high anxiety.
Many are living in quiet desperation, realizing that something has to give, but loosing your home, represents more then moving, so we try to hold on. Trying to deal with increased Interest Rates or Monthly Payments, Negative Equity, Lower Property Values, looming Mortgage Resets, living on Credit to make ends meet and it all becomes a vicious cycle.
So where do you turn, many decide just to … (2 comments)

20 Tips to Sell Your Home Faster
Ask for help to see you home from a buyer's point of view.  Ask someone who can be objective and honest of their impression of your home.  Of course a Realtor is always a good choice, but you'll also want to review their marketing techniques to ensure they are professional, creative to ensure they will provide you with the appropriate help.Stimulate buyers' imagination by scenes throughout the house, such as setting the patio table with Margarita glasses or a magazine open on a lounge chair.  Play soft music, invest in the new battery operated candles … (0 comments)

saddleback valley: 3402 Off and 1894 On - A Good Sign! - 12/12/07 04:53 AM
Yeah, I saw a good little indicator today on the SoCal MLS that that is a great little bit of information that our clients need to hear.
With the current market fears being portrayed in the media along with the quietness of the holiday's a little good news in needed.
We all know the rule of supply and demand and how it works.  Too much supply on the market - pricing comes down.  Not enough - pricing goes up.  Simple.
So as I reviewed the MLS this week I calculated the following:
New Actives on the Market: 1894
New Pendings: 444  (this does not include … (6 comments)

saddleback valley: MLS Comments and Negotiations 101, Yes a little Rant! - 09/16/07 04:27 PM
Ok, this is my first rant and hopefully a little help for home sellers. I review the MLS daily to be kept up to date on what is happening in the area, any best buys that may come along and honestly I just like to look at the houses.  But one thing I don't like to see is comments from listing agents that give away the farm.
I get the market is slow and sellers are getting anxious and want their homes sold but when I come across terms like the one noted below, I often wonder, who are they benefiting … (9 comments)

With the weather beginning to warm up in Southern California and the fact that we have had the driest year on record in South Orange County it is important to really begin thinking about water conservation.  With that in mind here are four quick tips to remember as you are out working in the yard.
•·         This is the growing season for most plants, making it the optimal time to fertilize.  Make sure to use a well balanced, organic fertilizer during this period.
•·         Water deeply to encourage deep root growth: Aerating your lawn can improve root growth.  Orange County typically has heavy … (0 comments)
