arizona: DR Horton Homes for sale in Rancho Sahuarita, Arizona - 12/14/12 02:17 PM
I had the pleasure of seeing all the DR Horton Homes for sale in Rancho Sahuarita, Arizona this afternoon.  Claudia Sanders, the builder's representative, was kind enough to let me tour all the available models and inventory. These homes range from the Vista Plan at 1,862 sq ft to as large as the Santa Fe Plan with a Super Loft coming in with 6 bedrooms at over 3,800 sq ft!

The Estancia Del Corazon neighborhood of Rancho Sahuarita will be a gated community, with cobblestone driveways and larger lots. My favorite of the day was the model of the … (3 comments)

arizona: Who is Lexa Montierth and The Homefront Team in Tucson, AZ? - 08/29/12 07:33 AM

One of the most daunting tasks when thinking about purchasing a home is contacting a Realtor.  The questions start running through your mind, and there aren't a lot of places to get answers.  "Am I really ready to purchase a home?" "What neighborhood would I want to live in?"  "Can I afford the house I like?"  "What is my budget?"  And then if  you do find a house, and call the listing agent, you may end up with one of those "Used Car Salesmen" types, and wish you had never called. Come on, you know the type!  It's really unnerving … (2 comments)

arizona: Hot Rods Old Vail Restaurant and Working Garage - 08/10/12 01:24 AM
I had the pleasure of visiting Vail's newest destination: Hot Rods Old Vail.  I have to admit, it is the neatest concept for a restaurant I have ever come across.  The entire project came about more than five years ago, when a design for a working garage and restaurant and lounge came together.
Hot Rods opened July 11, 2012 with an amazing display of classic cars and restored vehicles lining the restaurant.  Inside the restaurant, tables overlook the garage (lined with safety glass of course) as they restore classic vehicles and rebuild engines. According to it's website, Hot Rods is now open … (3 comments)

arizona: The Return, Farewell and Planned Return... - 11/13/07 01:18 AM
Hello ActiveRain Members,
It has been a very long time since I came to visit my old friends.  A lot of things have been happening and I wish it was because I was so busy with helping people buy and sell real estate.
It has been a rough year here in Tucson for Realtors, and Mortgage Lenders alike.   I started my licensing courses this same time last year.  Eager to save the first time home buyers from making huge mistakes in their home purchasing, I knew I wouldn't fail as a Real Estate Agent.  I was friendly, likable, and I thought, … (9 comments)

arizona: Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar? Who Meme? Not Meme! - 07/24/07 04:58 PM
Thanks to Harold Watts, I have been officially Meme'd. Whatever that means, I thought. I figured it out, and I have been trying to follow the meme's for a few weeks now and was quite surprised by all the wild and fascinating lives others live out there. I mean, we have a Real Estate agent who backpacked across the nation on a greyhound bus, an agent who travels the world, and one who rides elephants. I, unfortunately, can not compare. There isn't much about me that I haven't already said on my blogs, and nothing that would surprise anyone. But, I … (18 comments)

arizona: Apple Farm Bakery and Restaurant opens in Benson, Arizona - 07/22/07 11:39 AM
Benson welcomes a new restaurant this month!   The Apple Farm Bakery and Restaurant opened its doors at the beginning of July, and they haven't seen a stop to the line of customers yet!My family and I wanted a sit-down dinner (Not another Happy Meal, PLEASE!) and saw that the Apple Farm Restaurant had opened their doors.  We had ate at a restaurant of the same name in Tucson, and enjoyed it, and hoped that this meal would be just as good.  To my surprise, the owner was actually the same owner of the restaurant we had visited in Tucson.  Business had … (2 comments)

arizona: Tucson Needs MY Help! At least I think so :) - 07/15/07 04:45 PM
In all honesty, I haven't been fair. I felt like Tucson had more than enough information and I needed to be the cheer squad for Cochise County. But in all honesty, I actually work out of Tucson. Not only that, there really isn't enough cheerleaders for Tucson. Most of the agents I see on the web focus on Oro Valley and North West Tucson. Beautiful places, but what about the East side?
Does everyone know there is a Saguaro Park West and East? What about Fourty Niner Country Club and Arizona National Golf Club? That is just two of a dozen … (3 comments)

arizona: Arizona~At Your Service - 07/14/07 02:55 PM
As my husband and I were driving home last night, we realized the car registration was due on the 15th.  A couple of years ago Arizona changed the car registration due date to the 15th OR the 30th.  It confuses me to no end, because I was so used to it being due the end of the month!
The great news is I just came home, hopped on the computer, and renewed it.  Yes, Life is GOOD.  Any day I don't have to stand in line for hours at the DMV is a good day.  I haven't been to the DMV in … (0 comments)

arizona: Is The Housing Market Slowing You Down? ~:~ Achieving Your Real Estate Goals In A Slow Market - 07/12/07 10:21 PM
It's the end of the world as we know it! Honestly! To listen to media outside of the real estate industry, the housing "bubble" is about to burst and foreclosures are at an epidemic rate. News like this would make it seem like this is the first time we have ever had a slow market. These headlines have sellers shaking in their boots, and buyers wary of purchasing.
The first thing everyone should do? CALM DOWN. Now, take a deep breath.... Breath in, Ahhh, Breath Out. Isn't that better?
Unfortunately, the days of putting our houses on the market and having … (15 comments)

Saint David has good news to those that live in Northern Cochise County.  Three new business have arrived on Hwy 80, in the center of town.   Wild West Hair, Meme's Outpost, and Shabby 2 Chic Boutique all opened their doors in the past month, and the citizens of Saint David are thrilled to have them here!

arizona: All Real Estate is Local~Localism Week in Review June 30-July 7, 2007 - 07/07/07 07:28 PM
Welcome to the Week in Review~Localism.com Style
I have to admit, Neal gave me plenty of time to look for excellent Localism posts, only I was looking for Active Rain posts for the first four days :)  Next time I know to read the directions a little more clearly!
The posts I chose for this week’s review were educational, informative, original, had vibrant pictures, creative writing, or the ability to make me want to vacation there. But I feel like we need more about our areas, as time after time I went to counties or states and did not find anything about … (22 comments)

arizona: Month 2 Down and Around. Happy ActiveRain Day to me Again :) - 06/25/07 06:29 PM
Ok so I am totally loving ActiveRain, My husband said I need to stay off the MySpace for Realtors, that I don't need to worry about my Google Ranking, because I am the only Lexa Montierth around, and my website is barely functioning.  I am thinking that it is just a great start.  Since my first blog two months ago I have:
Had a Featured Post (I think little gold stars are my color)
Created my first Website (SEAZHomes.com)
Created the inaugural  edition of Southeastern Arizona Homes Podcast (seen on my website)
Starting actually THINKING about what my blogs might say LOL
Finding an interesting … (4 comments)
