Luxury homes over one million dollars are selling well this year as market adjustments have made luxury homes more affordable.
 
  
Now I realize that the words "million dollar luxury homes" and the word "affordable" don't belong in the same sentence for some readers.
However, when you consider that my parent's "starter home" cost $9,000 in 1948, that my "starter home" in Lake Ridge cost $105,000 in 1983, and that a basic starter home now runs $200,000 or more, it brings the market into focus.
My daughter's first automobile, a humble Volkswagen, cost 150% more than my parent's first home.

That's right, I said fast and furious.

As usual, the media is one year behind the curve.
In fact, homes are selling all over Prince William County.

Here are the numbers
As of September 30, there were 3,380 homes actively for sale across Prince William County.  Way down from the 7,000+ that were for sale one year ago.
There were 1,652 homes SOLD in September.  Yes, 1,652 homes went under contract in September.
