Dear Readers,
You will find, that throughout my writings that I am a woman of deep thinking.  Sometimes the urge just hits me to write something a little personal.  that moment JUST occurred!!
I grew up a sheltered life...a GOOD thing....
But, I spent most of my teen years thinking only of where ELSE I could be than here in GA.!    We were not well off and had enough food and shelter, but no money for travelling.  So, I just KNEW there was  a better life SOMEWHERE!

Memorial day is a very very important day around Augusta!
With Ft Gordon on our back door, we are deeply rooted with both active military members and the veterans, both are integral threads in the fabric of our community.   We have about 70,000 veterans in Augusta and surrounding areas!!  My husband being one of the brave veterans living here!
Fort Gordon is a 56,000 acre Army post and home to the USArmy Signal Corps.  It is the largest Communications logistic facility in the world.

Yes, Big things that have NOTHING to do with Golf CAN happen in AUGUSTA GA!!
An awful lot is happening around here, but I will start in the beginning.
 
The Augusta GA area is often referred to as the "CSRA".   Now, non-locals react to that with "What the heck IS "the CSRA".   Understandably, this acronym  seems to have nothing to do with Augusta GA.
But it really describes the area quite well.  
Central Savannah River Area =  C S R A
