Without these to special ladies in my life who knows where I would be today. So happy Mother’s Day to my mom who I still laugh at and with on a regular basis, thanks to her wonderful sense of humor, I survived my teenage years. (Told you I would survive!) Have you ever had an on going joke in your family? Well, I have and 25 years later my family still laughs about it. OK, the last 24 years they have laughed at it, the first year my parents were pretty pissed! My parents recently relocated to the other side of town and moved out of their home they had been in since 1977. But, the home still as it was in 1977, same flooring, carpets and even the orange countertops! My mom is a great woman and has the patience of a saint! As she put it, she had to put up with doing my laundry, and from time to time, finding frogs and snakes in my pockets. I guess I made doing laundry as exciting for her, as it was to me as a six year old, by putting those items in my pockets. She has been a wonderful grandmother to my kids, and has been a great teacher to thousands of kids as a Kindergarten teacher in the Tigard Tualatin Schools.
