private money investor: Real Estate Price Increases Predicted for 2013 - 12.26.2012 - 12/26/12 01:32 PM

Remember when gas prices were this low? One day we'll be saying that about house prices.
Now that we are just days away from the new year, I feel it is time for some reflection and some predictions. The real estate market seemed to be ever changing throughout 2012. Although there are no guarantees of what the new year will bring, according to a CNBC.com article I found on Yahoo! Homes, you can expect prices to rise. Perhaps as much as five to seven percent from 2012. That is quite a jump!

private money investor: Celebrities Active in the Real Estate Market - 12.23.2012 - 12/23/12 03:05 PM

Rock stars need a place to call home too.

Have you seen those sections of entertainment magazines that include photos of celebrities buying groceries, taking their kids to school and walking their dogs with statements confirming that they are just like us? Well, here’s another item to add to the list of how celebrities are like us non-celebrities. They buy and sell homes too!
Because of how they are portrayed in the media, sometimes we forget that celebrities are going through every day life happenings, similar to our experiences. Some mundane, some joyous and some stressful. Often their every … (0 comments)

private money investor: San Francisco Housing Sales and Prices Up From Last Year - 12.14.2012 - 12/14/12 06:11 AM

The San Francisco housing market is healthier this year!

We’ve been having cooler weather in San Diego this week. It has included overcast skies and rain. Not typical San Diego misting or light showers that last for a few minutes and are gone. Instead more thorough pours, as seen more typically in San Francisco and other areas of northern California.
As I have mentioned before in this blog, because of my preference of cooler weather, some have suggested I move to the Bay Area. I’m not sure if I ever will or not, but I do like the … (0 comments)

private money investor: Learn About Real Estate Predictions for 2013 - 12.10.2012 - 12/10/12 04:29 PM
Happy New Year!

It’s hard to believe that we are at the end of the year. We are about to leave 2012 behind and venture into 2013. With that in mind, I thought it would be interesting to find out what experts are predicting for the real estate market in 2013. We have already started to see improvements in some areas. Will that trend continue?
I found a website that includes predictions for Arizona and California. These are the two states that hard money lender, Source Capital offers services. This includes private money loans and private real estate investment opportunities.

private money investor: Trust Deed Loans and Other Real Estate Investments - 12.3.2012 - 12/03/12 03:51 PM

One of Arizona's many desert loving residents.

There is more than one way to invest in real estate. The most common thought may be to purchase property that will have a high probability of return. It may be a fixer upper that is then “flipped” for a profit. Perhaps it will be an income producing multi-family apartment complex or a high rise office building with tenants providing a monthly income.
If you have been trying to get in on the purchasing craze, but are lacking funding, you may be a candidate for a private money loan from southern … (0 comments)

private money investor: Investors Buy Over 500 Homes in Sacramento, California - 11.30.2012 - 11/30/12 07:58 AM

Today is the last day of November. It’s hard to believe that December starts tomorrow and we have arrived at the final month of 2012. It has been an interesting year of changes in real estate and beyond.
If you have been following my blog you have noticed my repetitive message that due to the upward shifts in the real estate market, now is the time to buy. An article in The Sacramento Bee suggests that I am not alone. Blackstone, a New York based investment firm that owns the Waldorf Astoria hotel and the Weather Channel has purchased … (0 comments)

private money investor: San Diego Real Estate Entrepeneur on ABC's Shark Tank - 11.26.2012 - 11/26/12 04:41 PM

Ever seen ABC's Shark Tank?

Have you seen the ABC show Shark Tank? It’s an interesting concept that allows entrepeneurs and inventors to pitch their idea to several self-made successful business people, including Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban.
I have seen the show a few times. I have enjoyed it and learned from it. A recent episode features Bill Lyons, one of San Diego County’s own. Lyons was born in Point Loma, grew up in Coronado and then received his Bachelors Degree from Arizona State University. Now back in San Diego County and a Mission Hills resident and … (1 comments)

private money investor: Private Investors and Hard Money Loans Help the Economy - 10.29.2012 - 10/29/12 11:54 AM

Hard money lenders provide financing options for those turned down by traditional banks.

Hard money loans and investors. You need one to have the other. Private money investors provide funding for those looking to purchase real estate. At Source Capital, this is done in the form of  trust deed loans. The money is secured with the property being purchased by the borrower.
Borrowers that have been turned down by banks have an opportunity to receive necessary financing from an alternative source; a private money lender. Hard money lenders play an important part in the rebuilding of our economy. … (0 comments)

San Francisco housing prices are on the rise!
When people find out I like cooler weather, they often suggest I move to San Francisco. Known not only for milder temperatures, but also for its city life excitement and beautiful waterfront, popular San Fran has a real estate market that is increasing in health and wealth! This is great news for sellersand our economy in general. It is also a reminder that the time to buy is now.

private money investor: Arizona and California Hard Money Lender, Source Capital - 8.29.2012 - 08/29/12 05:03 PM

Get into the home you want!

When I first met loan experts Sacha Ferrandi and Pat Hook of Source Capital I was naive to the world of trust deed loan investments and hard money loans. That was back in January of this year. Since then, thanks to Sacha, Pat and my experiences with Source Capital I have become educated about the world of private lending and real estate investments.
Why Source Capital? Here are just some of the reasons.
They are trustworthy and meticulously follow all legal policies and ethical procedures. They have an open door … (0 comments)

private money investor: California Lender Supports San Diego Humane Society - 8.27.2012 - 08/27/12 09:48 AM

Thanks, San Diego Humane Society for all you do to help homeless animals find homes!

Last Saturday was the 26th Annual Fur Ball, the San Diego Humane Society’s major fundraiser of the year. Complete with fine dining, an auction and live entertainment this year’s theme was Polynesian Paradise. Although I wasn’t able to attend, I was happy to see that it was actually, SOLD OUT! I like knowing there are so many animal loving people in San Diego County!
Serving all of California, as well as Arizona, private money lender, Source Capital also supports the San Diego Humane Society. … (0 comments)

private money investor: California Theatres and Entertainment Venues for Sale - 8.20.2012 - 08/20/12 10:06 AM

Usually when I think of real estate, I think of houses or empty lots to build on. Even when I think of commercial or investment property, I have a vision of office buildings or multiple family apartment complexes. But real estate comes in all forms!
A local playwright I know has been looking for rehearsal space for his upcoming play. That got me thinking how cool it would be to own a theatre! I love both film and stage, so any type of theatre would be fun for me! It would be great to have the space available to … (0 comments)

private money investor: Arizona Hard Money Lender Source Capital is Dog Friendly! - 8.5.2012 - 08/05/12 09:59 AM

This isn't my dog, but she sure looks ready to go!

If you have read previous blog posts, you probably have realized that I love animals. Especially my dog! Whenever I travel, my first questions is… can I take my dog. I do travel without her, but if there’s a way she can go with me, that is my first choice.
In keeping with our desert theme, I wanted to share more about Arizona. Below is a link to a great website. It is a compilation of dog friendly, lodging, restaurants and other resources throughout the United States.

private money investor: Los Angeles Real Estate and Million Dollar Listings - 7.16.2012 - 07/16/12 04:19 PM

Million Dollar Listings in Malibu, Califormia.

Because of the fact reality shows are taking over the air waves, I know that I am not the only one that watches them. Based in Los Angeles, “Million Dollar Listing” is a reality show that airs on Bravo. The show follows several real estate agents as they find clients their dream homes and negotiate deals in Malibu, Beverly Hills, the Hollywood Hills and elsewhere throughout Los Angeles. Occasionally the agents venture to Orange County and elsewhere, but predominantly they are in Los Angeles County. Bravo also recently added a New York version … (0 comments)

private money investor: Hard Money Loans and Investment Opportunities - 7.13.2012 - 07/13/12 04:36 PM

How does seeing a full moon make you feel?

What’s scary to one person, may be fun for another. Friday the 13th, Halloween, walking outside at night time with a full moon and other scenarios. Some people live for these experiences, while others choose to avoid them.
There are a lot of situations we come across in life that, depending on your perspective can be seen as exciting or stressful. How we view something will either energize, motivating us to move forward or deplete, discouraging us from further exploration.
An unknown path can be scary or exciting. It's just … (0 comments)

private money investor: California Beach Real Estate Loans and Investments - 6.18.2012 - 06/18/12 04:01 PM

Why just dream it? Be there!
On a sunny day like today I often think of the beach. Living in southern California gives me the option of actually visiting the beach. Not just dreaming about it. It would actually be cool to have a beach house. Either to live in full time or once in a while. I know people who own beach properties and operate them as vacation rentals. They of course, can stay there whenever they want, but use them to make money when they aren’t in use. I love this idea!

private money investor: Hard Money Lender Serving California - 6.8.2012 - 06/08/12 09:18 AM
<!-- .entry-meta --> Hurray for Hollywood!
California is known for a lot of things. Some of the most popular areas continue to be San Diego, San Francisco and of course, we all know it’s… Hooray for Hollywood!
Los Angeles is the home to many stars, but it is made up of more than just Beverly Hills, Hollywood Blvd. and the Sunset strip. One thing I have heard many people say about L.A., is that it is actually composed of many different and diverse areas. Whether or not you are involved with “show business,” living in an area known as the entertainment capital of the world … (0 comments)

private money investor: Honoring Our Veterans on Memorial Day and Year Round - 5.25.2012 - 05/31/12 04:20 AM

Memorial Day. A time to reflect on those no longer with us.

Monday is Memorial Day. A day off for many. Some will enjoy a gathering with family and friends, a barbecue and other festivities. I have a number of relatives, friends and acquaintances that are or were veterans. Understanding what our service men and women do everyday without question, has made me greatly appreciate them and the sacrifices they make.
It’s not about being for or against war. It’s about supporting fellow mankind. Memorial Day is intended to be a time of remembrance. Reflecting and honoring those that … (0 comments)

private money investor: Short Sale - 5.16.2012 - 05/16/12 08:09 PM

What is a short sale? Some of you know that I am learning as I go, as I work with Arizona and California hard money lender, Source Capital. I feel lucky to know Source Capital partners, Sacha Ferrandi and Pat Hook of San Diego County. They are real estate loan experts and I definitely am not! They have become a valuable resource to me and my education process. I mention this, because they are available as a resource for you, as well.
Ready to buy again? Don't let a previous short sale, foreclosure, bankruptcy or other "bad credit" situation … (0 comments)
